A simple and refreshing sorbet made with fresh, ripe tangerines. Look for tangerines with stems for the best flavor! This recipe includes an optional step to serve the sorbet in tangerine cups and the option to add honey for extra sweetness.
1. Peel the tangerines (reserving a couple if you'd like to make the tangerine cups) and separate into sections; remove any visible pith / seeds and place on a parchment lined baking sheet or plate and freeze until solid (6+ hours).
2. To make the tangerine cups, slice the top of the tangerine off and using a paring knife slice at an inward pointing angle around the edge and remove the center piece.
3. Once tangerine sections are frozen, blend until smooth and serve in the tangerine cups (you can add some honey if you want your sorbet sweeter but it's optional).
