A delicious and quick recipe for Beef Yaki Udon, featuring thinly sliced beef marinated and stir-fried with udon noodles, onions, garlic, and a savory sauce.
️⃣ Bring a medium pot of water to a boil.
️⃣ Marinate the beef: In a medium bowl, toss the beef with the oyster sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, and black pepper until evenly coated. Set aside to marinate while you prep the rest of the ingredients.
️⃣ Make the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and water until combined.
️⃣ Add the frozen udon to the boiling water and cook for about 1 min, or just until the noodles loosen. Drain well and set aside.
️⃣ In a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat, heat the avocado oil until shimmering. Add the onion and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 3-4 mins until softened and lightly golden around the edges. Add the garlic and cook, stirring, for 30 seconds until fragrant.
️⃣ Add the beef and cook, stirring, for 2-3 mins until browned and just cooked through.
️⃣ Add the udon and sauce. Cook, tossing constantly, for 1-2 mins until the noodles are evenly coated and the sauce has thickened slightly. Add the scallions and white vinegar and toss to combine.
️⃣ Divide among bowls, top with sesame seeds, and enjoy!
