Skirt steak marinated with soy sauce, garlic and ginger and then seared on a dry hot pan 🥩✨ I served this surf and turf style alongside broiled lobster tails and it was such a special meal!
1. Mix together the soy sauce, garlic, honey, sesame oil, ginger and pepper; pour it into a ziplock bag and marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour in the fridge (turning the bag once or twice).
2. Remove the steak from the fridge 15 minutes before cooking and blot it dry with paper towel, coat lightly in high smoke point oil.
3. If the steak is super long, cut it in half or thirds and then preheat your pan over high heat until smoking.
4. Place the steak on the dry hot pan and sear for 2-3 minutes per side for medium rare (until internal temp reads 130-135°F).
5. Tent in foil and let rest for 5 minutes and then slice against the grain and serve - enjoy!
