What you need

reduced-fat cream cheese

4 oz reduced-fat cream cheese

baking soda

½ tsp baking soda

red food colour

2 tsp red food colour

vanilla extract

1 ½ tsp vanilla extract

flour

table salt

¼ tsp table salt

cocoa powder

1 tbsp cocoa powder

powdered sugar

1 ¼ cup powdered sugar

unsalted butter

12 tbsp unsalted butter

light sour cream

¼ cup light sour cream

sugar

1 cup sugar

egg

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Whip together the butter and sugar for ~2 minutes; mix in the egg, food coloring, vanilla and sour cream.
3. Mix in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt; spoon out 1" cookie dough balls and place on a cookie sheet 2" apart (so they have room to expand).
4. Bake for 15-17 minutes and then let cool completely.
5. Make the frosting by mixing together the cream cheese, vanilla and powdered sugar; frost the cookies and enjoy!
