Let's take a moment of appreciation for my mom 🙏🏼 ...but also these cheesy broccoli bites deserve a place in your starting lineup this holiday season✨ . ▪️1 Onion, diced▪️1 Clove Garlic, minced ▪️2 Tbsp Butter▪️16 oz. Frozen Broccoli Spears, defrosted and finely chopped▪️1 Cup All-Purpose Flour ▪️2 tsp Salt ▪️1 tsp Baking Powder ▪️2 Eggs ▪️1 Cup Milk ▪️1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella ▪️3/4 Cup Parmesan▪️ . 1️⃣ Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9x13 baking dish with butter 2️⃣ Sauté onions and garlic in butter (with salt and pepper to taste) until onions are translucent; add the finely chopped broccoli and cook 2-3 mins until warmed through 3️⃣ Transfer into a large bowl and add the onion mixture, flour, salt, baking powder, eggs, milk and mozzarella 4️⃣ Pour into the baking dish smooth into one even layer; sprinkle generously with parmesan on top 5️⃣ Bake 30-35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean 6️⃣ Let cool slightly and then cut into triangles (or squares); remove from the baking dish with a spatula and place onto a greased baking sheet; bake for an additional 15 minutes (which will give them a nice crisp top) and enjoy! 7️⃣ If you'd like to make the Christmas tree place one triangle at the top followed by a row of two, followed by three rows of three; fill in the gaps with another layer of triangles and add two triangles into a square shape for the stump (I hope that makes sense lol! May be easier just to look at the cover photo 🤍) . ⏲ 20 minute prep time + 45 minute cook time
